Measures to be taken during cyclones

Actions to be taken before cyclone by farmers 

1. Crops should be harvested at early stages if it 80-90% matured.
2. All the drainage arrangements need to taken at the field,make sure that water shouldn't be logged in the field.
3. In case of horticultural crops like fruits and vegetables support to be provided.
4. Making all the arrangements which keeps the animals safe.
5. Storing of harvested produce at safer place.
6. For the borewells fuses should be removed to prevent from pumpset burn.
7. Control panels need to cover properly to not becoming wet.
8. During the heavy rains nobody should stand under the trees.
9. Preventive measures like spraying advanced chemicals which rain damages the crop.

Actions to be taken after cyclone by farmers 

1. Providing mechanical support to the crops which damaged during the rain.
2. Be aware and only touch the control panels if it was wet.
3. Water which is logged at the field should be clear immediately.
4. All the machineries should be serviced as the water entered into it.
5. Harvesting the crop and storing in a safe place.
